On July 29, 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed Public Law creating the National Aeronautics and Space Administration also known as NASA. J.F.K. Space Center has helped set the stage for America's. Each year millions of visitors from across the world make the trek to this hub of technology and discovery, where many of mankind's greatest accomplishments take place. Some astronauts that have flown in a space shuttle are Jon McBride and Bruce Melnick. The Kennedy space centers name is a 400 year old name that was first named in 1973.
